Course Description

This course is structured to teach techniques and skills and enable children to work with supplies independently and confidently. They will learn to: 

• Record from direct observation and personal experience
• Identify and solve problems in visual and/or other forms
• Engage and experiment with a range of media, materials and techniques
• Experience working in relevant frameworks and exploring of manipulative skills necessary to form, compose and communicate in two and/or three dimensions.

In this course, Pooja shows you the process of making art with mixed media. She helps children gain confidence and have a sense of achievement in the practice of art and design. They will learn to grow independently in the refinement and development of ideas and personal outcome.
Pooja will also help kids understand the working vocabulary relevant to the subject and develop an interest in, and a critical awareness of other practitioners, environments and cultures.

The Project

You will complete this course with a sketchbook filled with portraits, beautiful collages, dot paintings and various different art forms.

Pooja Gokul is an art educator with decades of experience teaching children. She has a keen sense of design aesthetic and style that all came together with the experience that she has collected over the last decade being in the fine art world. She has taught at various International schools- Vidyashilp Academy, TISB ( The International School Bangalore), Trio World School.
A connoisseur of fine art, she has had several art shows and sold her paintings at galleries in Bangalore, Delhi and Chennai.
