Course Description

This is a specially designed watercolor course for children, where the kids will learn: 

• Study of light and shadow by applying warm and cool colors.
• Making different types of trees with direct brush.
• Different types of skies through washes and color mixing.
• Organic expressive florals will be taught to achieve looseness in painting.
• Through watercolor landscapes they will be taught about atmospheric depth.
• Perspective drawings through urban sketching.
• Study the work of a famous Watercolor artist and create your version of the same.

In this course, Rhea will show how water colors are blended by using the application techniques. She will guide them through a step by step process and let them work independently. Rhea will also help to understand the medium better, with the help of creative artworks which will help them to build their portfolio.

The Project

You will complete this course with an art book filled with watercolor landscapes, flowers and trees, color theory, soft washes, watercolor paintings and your very own masterpiece.

Rhea Virani

Artist & Art Educator

Rhea Virani has been teaching art and design for over a decade and inspiring young minds. She has done her Post Graduation in Animation and holds a Diploma in Commercial Art. An expert at designing curriculums, she was working as a full time art teacher at The Bright Start and Fellowship International school, Mumbai, handling the Art & Design Department for Grade 1-8. She was also the New Skills Program teacher at The Singapore International School, Mumbai.

Her passion for art and her love for kids make her the ideal teacher. Watercolors is her forte and she is constantly learning new skills to add to her repertoire.
